A TV-MA adaption from the videogame series of the same name from the creator behind Castlevania (Adi Shankar), Netflix’s new animated series re-imagines the game as a satire on the War on Terror. It’s the story of a “devilishly handsome” man-child bounty hunter named Dante (Johnny Yong Bosch) who might be humanity’s only hope for salvation, and it pays tribute to several early 2000s pop culture influences, including an homage to the Matrix Reloaded and a wordless rock opera episode with new music by Evanescence.
