Could this be the show where political opponents find common comedy ground? Sixteen years after it ended its reign on FOX, Hulu is bringing back the animated TV-14 sitcom from legends Mike Judge (Silicon Valley, Beavis and Butt-Head) and Greg Daniels (The Office, Parks and Recreation). After a decade in Saudi Arabia Hank and Peggy Hill are back in Arlen, Texas and retired, and trying to come to terms with all of the Ubers and Whole Foods. Their son Bobby now owns a Japanese-German fusion restaurant in Dallas, and they’re up against “manosphere influencers, soccer haters, and conspiracy theorists — but the hot button topics are handled with nuance and lighthearted comedy. Several of the original cast return, including Judge, Pamela Adlon, Kathy Najimy, Lauren Tom, Stephen Root, Toby Huss, and the late Johnny Hardwick (who passed away after recording a few episodes). Ronny Chieng joins as neighbor Kahn. Ten new episodes drop today.
