A Murder at the End of the World

A young hacker and amateur sleuth named Darby Hart (Emma Corrin) is one of nine guests invited to an Icelandic retreat in a “climate proof hotel” by a reclusive billionaire (Clive Owen), where they talk about the world’s issues and witness what their future might entail. When one of the guests is found dead, Darby sets out to prove that it was a murder rather than an accident before the killer can strike again. The first two of four episodes stream today and air on FX. From OA creators Brit Marling & Zal Batmanglij. Critics are mostly on board. From the Guardian: “It takes on a lot, thematically, but I admire the big swings.”
