PBS has been delivering a steady stream of smart, engrossing mystery dramas each Sunday night. This time, they pull back the curtain on the life of one of the widely read mystery novelists — Agatha Christie — whose work inspired so many others. The three-part docuseries, narrated by historian Lucy Worsley, explores her roots as a lonely child in a wealthy family, her role as a nurse in WWI, their 11 day disappearance after her mother’s death and her husband’s affair, among other events throughout the turbulent 20th century that influenced her writing.
