Oscar best picture movie Anora now streaming
Anora

This year’s Best Picture Oscar winner, Anora just arrived on streaming, and unlike other recent Oscar winners and theatrical arrivals, it’s free for Hulu subscribers. A comedic indie drama with a punch, it’s the story of a sex worker from Brooklyn who ends up in a whirlwind romance with a Russian oligarch’s son, prompting his parents to arrive in the US determined to put the kibosh on it all. Rare is the Oscar contender that delivers LOLs, but be forewarned on this one. From the BBC’s Nicholas Barber: “Anora fizzes with energy and laugh-out-loud moments, but it isn’t recommended for anyone with high blood pressure. It builds into the kind of hectic farce in which not just one person is stressed: everyone is stressed.” (Read the review)
