The Law According to Lidia Poët

Inspired by the life of the first female lawyer in late 1880s Italy, who fought to overturn the law that forbid women to practice law. Richly drawn, sexy, and fast-paced, the historical drama is part murder mystery, part procedural drama, and part period romance. According the backstory of the series, Poët’s disbarring provoked a movement to allow women to not only practice law but hold public office in Italy.
