Black Summer

Summary:

The first season of this action-horror series came out way back in the spring of 2019, but Covid couldn’t stop the zombie virus from spreading. In Season 2, the “black summer” of the early days of the zombie apocalypse have given way to a “black winter,” with the show’s group of survivors–led by Rose (Jaime King)–trying to survive the chomping undead, the assault rifle-shooting living, and the freezing temperatures. They take refuge in a house in the woods and try to fight off a group of bandits trying to take their stuff. Black Summer is notable for how much it feels like a first-person shooter video game, which makes for an interesting viewing experience.

Quick Takes
