Starstruck

Summary:

London-based New Zealand comedian Rose Matafeo wrote and stars in this romantic comedy about an average woman who unknowingly hooks up with a movie star (Hulu’s Four Weddings and a Funeral’s Nikesh Patel) on New Year’s Eve. Despite living in very, very different worlds, they try to make their relationship work. It’s a clever comedy from a fresh new voice. British newspaper The Times called it an “expertly crafted old-school screwball comedy, crackling with wit and sexual chemistry.” It aired on the BBC already, but it’s streaming as an HBO Max original here in America sometime this month.
