The Philadelphia Story


Katharine Hepburn is the snooty daughter of a wealthy family and about to marry for the second time. In walks her cunning ex-husband Cary Grant with tabloid reporter James Stewart in tow. A hit when it premiered in 1940, by 1956, The Philadelphia Story was remade into the hit musical High Society, starring Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra and Grace Kelly, in her final film role. In 2008 the American Film Institute named it the fifth best romantic comedy in Hollywood history.
