Chalk it up to modest expectations — starting with early previews that rubbed people the wrong way — but “Aladdin” is a great deal of fun, with charming leads and elaborately mounted songs.

You’ll like All Creatures Here Below because you connect with the leads and their story and want to take part on their journey – for better or for worse.

It’s not new, but it’s just as powerful (and, yes, still funny) as it ever was.

I felt wrung out at the end of this film. How incredible must it have been for those who were there in person.

Gripping…It’s a tough, distressing film, yet in the measured hands of directors Pat McGee and Adam Linkenhelt, its emotional and humanistic qualities transcend the kind of exploitive defaults that could have made this a punishing, eye-popping horror show.

As more than a decade passes on screen, the one constant is Miller’s presence in every scene: a messy, chain-smoking sex kitten stumbling from delayed adolescence toward a grown womanhood, painful, honest, and flawed, worth waiting for.
