Lead actress Katee Sackhoff (from Battlestar Galactica) is commanding to watch as she leads a diverse, young and sexy train wreck of a crew through space to discover the origin of a mysterious alien craft that landed on Earth. Naturally, thankfully, it’s not a smooth mission. These types of shows don’t work without action, suspense, betrayal, intergalactic drugs, a threesome, at least two comas, and a blackmailing influencer (Selma Blair), and Another Life takes the premise to a whole other dimension.
Another Life is easily digestible for a sci-fi show (which can be esoteric). Genuinely surprising plot twists and overblown drama keeps viewers entertained enough to look past the familiar storylines.
Friends who enjoy action-packed space shows but don’t take them too seriously.
Some death scenes are graphic but in the way horror fans love to squeal. There are some sex scenes not as graphic as the deaths.
