This year’s The Summer I Turned Pretty replacement follows the story of Daisy and Cole, who were inseparable as kids until a tragedy fractured their families and sent them in different directions. When they reunite years later in their lakeside hometown, old wounds, old chemistry, and old secrets resurface. The four-episode series moves between past and present to slowly reveal what happened, what was lost, and what they might save. More wistful, reflective, and emotionally layered than a Hallmark romance, it nonetheless taps into the familiar fantasy of going home and rewriting your past.
