Suspect: The Shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes

A four-part drama about the real-life killing of a 27-year-old Brazilian who was working as an electrician in London when police confused him for a suicide bomber and shot him point blank seven times — on one of the city’s subways.  The series takes a journalistic approach, using real footage of bombings and exploring the different perspectives of the story, including the Metropolitan police. Tense, realistic, shocking and ultimately devastating, it’s also eye-opening.

The Accountant II

The Accountant II

Ben Affleck is back as the forensic accountant on the spectrum who speed dates, line dances, and takes down bad guys, but this time he’s teaming with his estranged brother (Joe Bernthal) as they tackle human trafficking and a creepy conspiracy. The big theater release is high-octane and high-stakes with a blend of humor and emotional weight, and several critics have praised this one as better than the first — with Affleck’s best performance to date. Directed by frequent Affleck collaborator Gavin O’Connor (the first Accountant, The Way Back, and Miracle).
