Murderbots

Alexander Skarsgård stars in Apple’s new sci-fi drama-comedy about an awkward and sarcastic cyborg who provides lethal security services for his corporate owner until he hacks his way to “free will” — which he uses to binge-watch his favorite soap operas and protect some hippie scientist humans he reluctantly becomes attached to. It’s a fresh and funny lighter take on a robot story adapted from the award-winning Murderbot Diaries novels by Martha Wells, and it comes from Chris and Paul Weitz (American Pie, About a Boy), who direct in addition to writing.
