Inspired by the Golden Girls, Mid Century Modern follows three gay friends who decide to spend their retirement years living together in Palm Springs – joined by the mother of one of the roommates. Few shows match the pedigree of this traditional multi-cam sitcom. Created by the team behind Will & Grace, Nathan Lane, Matt Bomer, and Nathan Lee Graham co-star with the late Linda Lavin playing Lane’s mother. (Sadly, she passed seven episodes into the 10 episode first season). Guest stars include five decades of sitcom stars: Judd Hirsch, Rhea Perlman, Billie Lourd, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Pamela Adlon, Richard Kind, and Vanessa Bayer. The legendary James Burrows, co-creator of Cheers and director of many an episode of Friends and Will & Grace, also directs the series.
