An American woman with literary ambitions lands at Oxford University, the place of her childhood fantasies, but ends up in a steamy romance with a man who isn’t part of the dream. Part romcom, part melodrama, the adaptation of the novel of the same name by Julia Whelan has earned decidedly mixed reviews for its lack of literary heft, but the setting, the set-up, and the leads Sofia Carson and Corey Mylchreest are the draws here.
