2026 Olympics Opening Ceremony
The 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics officially kickoff with the Opening Ceremony on Friday, February 6th, airing live on both NBC and Peacock beginning at 2pm ET (8pm in Italy). The Parade of Nations, musical and artistic performances, and the lighting of the cauldron will be hosted by veteran broadcaster Mary Carillo (stepping in for Savannah Guthrie) and Terry Gannon. If you miss it live, an 8pm ET primetime special re-airs the ceremony on both Peacock and NBC. Peacock will be streaming all 116 medal events live as well as on-demand with the Gold Zone whip-around show, the Multiview of up to four simultaneous events, and Rinkside Live show for hockey and figure skating events.
