Happy Face
Dennis Quaid stars as the real-life “Happy Face Killer” in this slow-burn true crime drama based on the podcast and autobiography of the actual killer’s daughter. In the eight-episode series, the daughter investigates whether an innocent man is heading to death row for a murder her father committed. The sardonic tone and fictionalized twists might not work for some true crime viewers, but the POV and reveals of the kids of the killer makes this one compelling. Annaleigh Ashford and James Wolk co-star.
